Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Like many other artists I have shot this location many times. At the time I was so rushed and had to keep moving off the street because of the traffic and other photographers blocking my view.
I was just about to leave when I saw this taxi turning into the street and thought it would be great to marry these 3 icons of Manhattan, so I snapped one last frame and ran off to capture the sunset by the water. It wasn't until I saw this masterpiece again in post production that I really fell in love with it. The dream-like golden afternoon hues, especially on the Empire State Building really make this image for me.
