Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You†to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

There's something very timeless about this area of Portsmouth that keeps drawing me back. If it wasn't for the new truck by the fence on the right, this scene could easily have been straight from the 1960's. In fact I thought about cloning the truck out, but I figured leaving it there helps set this scene in the present day.
This image was captured just after sunset which is usually a difficult time to shoot in this direction since the bright sky can wash out the dimly lit row of houses. However a bank of clouds helped to even out the dynamic range and made this photo possible.
Eric is a fine art landscape photographer based in Lee, New Hampshire. Over the last decade he has been actively pursuing the art of photography throughout most of New England, but is especially drawn to locations in his home state of NH. As a life-long resident, this gives a unique perspective on some of the more popular landmarks, and also some of those that can only be found off the beaten path.
